Windy morning in Iceland

My dad taught me photography- he is a visual magician, painter, photographer, designer. By the time I was 12, I was developing and printing my own work- first in the gang darkroom at the college where he taught, then in a waterless large closet in our basement. Ansel Adams, Paul Capronigro and Elliot Porter were my heroes. As I grew up, making photographs was my excuse for spending time in the natural world.  Now it keeps me balanced.
