The Pacific Northwest is full of fascinating places to explore. Rialto Beach, located in the coastal section of Olympic National Park, has been one of my favorite places to photograph over the years. We took the girls there on a family beach backpack when Erin was 11 and Rachel was 8- what fun they had counting over 300 starfish in the tide pools! This image is from a trip to Rialto in September 2016. This is a beautiful time to visit the Olympics- warm, usually dry, and much less crowded. The image is a stacked macro photograph of seven images to capture the detail in the pebbles, the biggest of which is about the size of a walnut.
